I met Karie at the AZ Blogger Meetup and she just so happened to be the one behind the scenes who snapped all of the pictures for that event. I’ve remained in contact with her ever since and recently she contacted me about a design for her blog. This lady is one of the sweetest I’ve ever met and I was thrilled when she asked me to do her blog design.
First we started off with her logo, which will also be the watermark for her photos. She asked if I could try to incorporate a doily which I was excited about, here are just a few mockups we had come up with:

We decided to scrap the doily idea for her logo and just went with some pretty intricat script. I love the outcome and instead of scrapping the doily completely I found ways of incorporating it into the rest of her layout. So in love.
We were both happy with the design and Karie was SUCH a pleasure to work with. I love that we were able to bounce ideas off of each other and that she was able to give a lot of direction in what she wanted. I’m so happy I was able to work with her and I can’t wait to go to Arizona again so we can have coffee together!
Take a peek at her blog design here + view her photography portfolio here.
Unfortunately, I’m not accepting any web work right now but if you’d like more information on my pricing and what other services I can offer, feel free to contact me here. ♥
The other day my lovely blog friend @Anitameans posted a tweet regarding an amazing photographer. I was so smitten I HAD to share it here.
Enter: Hana Pesut, a photographer living in Vancouver, Canada.
I’ve been giggling out loud at all of these pictures she took. The concept of her project Switcheroo is amazing + I had one of those “Why didn’t I think of that!” moments. She’s brilliant. See for yourself:

After looking at all of these I started to wonder if Aaron would ever do a switcheroo with me if we were ever asked. I think he would as long as I wasn’t wearing one of my rompers, lol!
What about you? Do you think your significant other would be up for the challenge of a switcheroo?
Whenever I come up to Reno I always have feelings of nostalgia. Driving around Macarran, going downtown, having fun at the river. Well, my family and I took our dogs to Mayberry Park last Sunday and it hit harder than ever. I miss this city. Here are a few pictures that I took while we were at the Truckee River, we love throwing the ball out in the middle of the river and watching the dogs swim after it. I definitely don’t know how I’ve lived in Vegas for 3 years already, I miss the outdoors!

I’ve recently just picked up my camera again. I have missed it so much! Any feedback on these is greatly appreciated and welcome.

On Saturday my coworker/friend Ria and I ventured out to go to the Springs Preserve here in Las Vegas. When we got there we were bummed to find out that the SP had closed for the day so instead we drove further into Summerlin to hang out at SambaLatte, a local coffeeshop here in town. I have been having the silliest urge to use my camera which was why we had planned on going to the Springs Preserve to take pictures but hanging out at SambaLatte was just what I needed. Working at what seems like the only coffeeshop on our side of town with “good” coffee can be difficult at times because I work there but find it hard to be able to relax when I’m just hanging out there, off shift. So imagine our surprise when we were truly able to relax at Sambalatte. It was the best! Unfortunately SambaLatte is about a 25 minutes drive from where I live so I don’t see myself going there more than a couple times a year at most. Especially in the heat. But it was a nice treat. Lots of lounging and good conversation. Perfect for the weekend.
How was your weekend?
